Everest Short Pass Trek is a short and easier trekking in the Khumbu Region compared to the classic and world famous Everest Base Camp trek (EBC trek). This trek is an alternative trekking route of EBC trek. It is suitable for the mountain lovers to enjoy the chilled environment of the Himalayas and Mt. Everest with short time period. You can experience this short pass trek in 10 to 12 days.
Everest Short Pass Trek is also popularly known as Everest Renjo La Pass Trek. You will explore the Renjo La pass (5345m) and Gokyo Ri (5357m) situated to the west of Everest Base Camp. These are the highest point of this short pass trek. You will be thrilled by the breathtaking scenery and encounter with the world top Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and many more mountains on the row.
Everest Short Pass Trek starts with the scenic mountain Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The actual trekking begins from Lukla up to the gateway of the Khumbu region, called Namche Bazaar. Acclimatisation day at Namche is very important. Cross the beautiful Sherpa settlements and valleys. You will also explore the sacred Gokyo Lake via Renjo La Pass.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and meet day in Kathmandu Airport
Day 02: Sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m), 35 min and trek to Phakding (2700m), 3 hour
Day 04: Trek Phakding to Namche bazaar (3440m), 6 hour
Day 05: Acclimatisation day at Namche and visit Everest View Hotel
Day 06: Trek Namche to Dole
Day 07: Trek Dole to Machermo (4410m)
Day 08: Trek Machermo to Gokyo
Day 09: Rest to visit Gokyo Ri (5360m) and back to Gokyo
Day 10: Trek Gokyo to Renjo La pass overnight hotel in Lunden (4300m)
Day 11: Trek Lunden to Namche bazaar
Day 12: Trek Namche Bazaar back to Lukla, overnight hotel
Day 13: Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 14: Departure international from Kathmandu
