Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and meet day at the Kathmandu Airport
First we welcome you to home of Mt. Everest, Nepal, country of Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport our representative will welcome you and assists to transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. You will have to make rest day in Kathmandu. Make permit day and you can look around in Kathmandu valley or make Sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu valley. After time to get refreshed, evening you will meet and transfer for the welcome dinner in any comfortable restaurant in Kathmandu and short briefing about your trip and overnight hotel. We meet early morning and start our trekking trip.
Day 02: Early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m), 40 minute and Trek start to Phakding (2610m), 3/4 hour
Early morning we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla more like Himalayan mountain flight of about 40 minutes scenic flight. You will have time to stroll around in Lukla, while the guide sort and divide the load baggage to be carried by the porters. The Guide will manage the lunch place depending upon the time of arrival at the Lukla airport. After lunch, we then start our trekking with an easy walk to Phakding village for the overnight stop and rest of the time stroll around the village for local knowledge.
Day 03: TrekPhakding to Namche Bazaar (3,444m), 5/6 hour
After breakfast we will continue trekking up the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it twice by small the suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo, the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. While entering the National park boundary we will descend and a gradual walk brings us to the suspension bridge over the Bhote-Koshi River to Jorsalle village, the last village till Namche Bazaar. Namche is a prosperous trading town and the capital of the Khumbu Himalayan Region.
Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar and visit Everest View Hotel
We will have to spend a day in Namche Bazaar to rest and allowing our bodies to become acclimatized to the altitude of 3,440m. You have full day leisure or visit Everest View Point hotel for the wonderful panoramic view or stroll around the market. On Saturday, you can see many people in the Saturday market for shopping to fulfill their daily needs and only one shopping market in the surrounding areas. Also you can visit Sherpa Museum as well as a great place to learn Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering and stroll back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 05: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery (3860m), 5/6 hour
We will meet again and trek further with new energy to our destination. Today after breakfast we start our trek with pleasant walk through the forest with the magnificent view of the mountains. The great view of the mighty peaks like Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangteka and Kwangde peak with some of the eastern snowcapped mountains. The trail leads uphill through the forest path and the hard walk to get to Tengboche. Tengboche, one of the most beautiful place in the Himalaya and the first thing that comes to your eye is the big Monastery, then the large field with campsites and tea houses, hotels beneath the towering majestic beautiful peak Ama Dablam view and Mt. Everest.
Day 06: Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m), 4/5 hour
One of the best trail and best view for this route descends down from Tengboche, winding through the rhododendron forest to Deboche and crossing a bridge over the raging Imja River. Hug the valley wall, and then traverse the plains to Dingboche, the start of the Imja Valley. Dingboche is also the gateway to see Chukung and farther beyond for the most challenging traverses towards Makalu area and Hinku Valley.Overnight Tea house, Hotel.
Day 07: Acclimatization day at Dingboche
Hiking with very good view point,the best day you will rest before the last leg of the journey. You may have the full day rest or there are some places where you can go for a day walk like hiking over 5000m is worthwhile which takes approx. 4/5 hour from Dingboche, towards east within the Imjatse Valley.Although the trek is gradual, you can feel the thin air as the altitude gains slowly coming towards best view and look very nice place.After enjoying the place, stroll back to Dingboche for overnight at tea house,hotel.
Day 08: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche(4910m), 5/6 hour
Tackle the steep incline to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier, continuing along the rugged route to your resort at Loboje. Above the huts looms the famous Lhotse Ridge.
Day 09: Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5100m) and visit Everest Base Camp (5350m), 5/6 hour
We will have our breakfast and continue our trek to Gorekshep in a windy and rocky path with the wonderful view of Mt. Pumori, Nuptse and other magnificent peaks. After check in at lodge and lunch, our adventure continues towards Everest Base Camp and to the Khumbu glacier.The trail passes through the rocky dunes and moraine and streams till you reach the Everest base camp. In Everest Base Camp the climbers gather for summiting Mt. Everest during the high expedition season. We explore base camp and its surroundings glacier and return back to Gorakshep for overnight stay atteahouse.
Day 10: Early morning visit Kala Pathar (5545m). Trek back to Dingboche, 5/6 hour
Your Guide will arrange time for this morning to start early hike up to Kala Pathar for the most wonderful views of the Mt. Everest. It takes about two hours to reach this hill top (the famous view point). This small peak offers the best views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and the Khumbu glacier along with the entire mountain views of the Khumbu Himalayan range. After some hours, we hike down to Gorakshepfor breakfast and retrace back towards Dingboche for overnight.
Day 11: Trek Dingboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m), 6/7 hour
Heading down now, the trekking route is easier and the pace is faster. Take back great memories with you and walk down hill towards the Phungithanka via Tengboche and after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river trek onwards to the Kyanjuma, the junction of the trinity ways to the Gokyo Valley, the Khumjung village and Namche Bazaar. Great view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache and Lhotse as well as dense wildlife of some species of Pheasants, Himalayan griffons, musk deer and wild goat can be found inside the rhododendron forest. Evening time to explore small surrounding area with magnificent scenery, overnight hotel.
Day 12: Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2850m), 6/7 hour
Leisurely this morning we trek back to Lukla, you can walk at your own pace and enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village. Arrival in Lukla and you'll have time to stroll around the areas and the guide will reconfirm your flight ticket. Enjoy the last celebration dinner with your crew member and overnight at Hotel in Lukla.
Day 13: Early morning flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu takes about 40 minute
You can have early morning breakfast and ready to fly back to Kathmandu. Our guide will transfer you to the hotel. You may have to rest and relax after the adventure long journey from the Everest region. You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the evening cultural program and farewell dinner in a famous Nepali Restaurant, overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu to your home country
See you again wonderful Himalayan country in Nepal. Today is free or last minute you have few hour special shopping for your friend and family to gift, relatives for you until your departure flight to your home country. Or any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you will be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your home country. Hope to see you again Nepal Himalayan country.
