Lobuche Peak Climbing offers you the most challenging and adventure peak climbing than popular Island peak climbing in Nepal. Lobuche East Peak (6119m) lies in the Khumbu Glacier just below Gorak shep and Everest Base Camp.
Lobuche East Peak first ascended in 1984 is 26 meter higher than Lobuche Far East Peak. This trek also offers an excellent opportunity of an exhilarating trek to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pathar. The most difficult section is a mixed rock and ice wall at a slope of around 45 degrees leading to the narrow summit ridge.
Lobuche Peak climbing and other trekking peak categorized by the Nepal Mountaineering Assocaition are not as challenging as an 8000m summit. However these mountains should not be taken lightly: a considerable amount of time often needs to be spent above 5000m, often in difficult weather, on slopes that need a good range of mountaineering skills.
During Lobuche East Peak Climbing, we trek up the Dudh Koshi valley from Lukla, pass the Namche Bazaar and Tengboche on our way to Kala Pathar and Everest Base Camp. After being rested and feeling physically fit and acclimatized, we then descend back to Lobuche for Mt. Lobuche summit. Besides trekking adventure, we also get to witness pristine Sherpa villages and ever-so-serene monasteries. With ponderous memories of the trekking earlier done, we retrace our route back through Namche to Lukla, and from there on we fly back to Kathmandu. This trip can be done during 15 of September, October, November, and March to May and December.
