Ganesh Himal trek is one of the popular but less crowded trekking into the Himalayan ranges of Ganesh Himal. The range is situated in the northern part of Dhading district to the west of the Kathmandu valley. You will view the four 7000m plus mountains and some fourteen others peaks with 6000m plus in the Ganesh Himal range. Some peaks lie on the Tibetan border.
Ganesh Himal Trekking takes you through the river valleys and traditional farming communities inhabited by a variety of the ethnic groups in Nepal. The trail also goes through pine and rhododendron forests and across various passes and cols. The wonderful views of Langtang, Gosainkunda, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himalchuli, Machhapuchhre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II are the major attractions of this trek.
The name for the Himalayan range comes from the Hindu deity Ganesha, usually depicted in the form of an elephant. In fact, the south face of Pabil (Ganesh IV) slightly resembles an elephant, with a ridge that is reminiscent of an elephant's trunk. You don’t want to miss this chance to see the elephant symbol on the mountain.
First we welcome you to home of Mt. Everest, Nepal, country of Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport our representative will welcome you and assists to transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. You will have to make rest day in Kathmandu. Make permit day and you can look around in Kathmandu valley or make Sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu valley. After time to get refreshed, evening you will meet and transfer for the welcome dinner in any comfortable restaurant in Kathmandu and short briefing about your trip and overnight hotel. We meet early morning and start our trekking trip.
Early morning drive to Dhading Besi by public bus takes about 3 hour and continue drive on public jeep to Kintang Phedi (655m) takes about 5/6 hour. En route you pass several traditional villages, farming terraces, fishing spot and beautiful green hills. KimtangPhedi lies at the bank of Netrawati or AnkhuKhola (stream). There are few typical houses, shops with minimal supply and terraces where local people grow potatoes and other food grains. Stay overnight at Tea House.
Today, the trek begins with gradual ascent and the route goes through villages, farming fields and lush green hills. These villages in Jharlang are the inhabitants of Tamang, Brahmin and Chhetri ethnic groups. The major occupation of the people is agriculture and they farm maize, rice, wheat, millet and green vegetables for living. You will find many typical houses in the villages and a government school. Homestay overnight at any villagers.
The trail leads quite ascent and then the trail moves through leveled path towards the ending point. While trekking you pass many Tamang villages as Jharlang, Borang then you will reach small beautiful Gurung village Chalish. There are poor government schools, health post, chortens and mani walls in these Tamang villages. The main occupations of the people are farming. The scenic beauties you can glance are of green hills, terraces and villages at close distance. You will have magnificent view of Ganesh himal range and Paldor peak from this village. Stay overnight Tea House.
Climb early morning to Mugudanda (hill) for panoramic view more than 12 snowcapped peaks like Mount Manaslu, Ganesh Himal range, Paldor peaks many more. You will visit old Buddhist monastery in Sertung village and explore the village. In the evening, the local club will offer to entertain you with their cultural performance as Maruni dance and Dohori songs. Stay overnight Tea House.
Visit Natural hot spring and take a bath there whole afternoon and come back to same village. On the way back you also can have experience of fishing by need and fish hook at Ankhu River with local people. Stay there overnight Tea House.
This day starts late because of lots of flower Mala (garland) will be on your neck at the departure time and say bye bye and next welcome with Apple pie. First walking is easy to Ada khola and steep climb to Tipling village. It is a big Tamang village. Stay overnight at Tea House.
Today, you might see monkeys, barking deer, wild pig and much type of birds. You will also see many Yak and sheep. This day will be fun with the sunset view on the Moutain Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu and Annapurna Range. Stay overnight at Tea House.
The view from here is incredible. For the sunrise view, you have to climb around at 5am in the morning (hill) 1 hour to the top. The hidden valley of Ankhu, Trishuli with coulorful rhododendron flowers. Mountain views are recommended all around from the top. LangtangLirung, Dhorjelakpa, Sangden Himal, Gosainkunda and range east and west Annapurna, Manaslu and the front view of Ganesh Himal very beautiful. After nice view and small snack, we gradually down to the Somdang. Stay overnight at Tea House.
Gatlang is a traditional Tamang village. It sets high on a hillside among terraced fields is the Tamang settlement. One can also visit a Tamang monastery and the beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang. From the viewpoint at Bahundanda near these settlements, called ParwatiKunda and one can also see a panoramic view of Lantang, Kerung, and the Ganesh Himal, SanjenHimal ranges. Syabrubesi is the ending point of our trek so you will celebrate in the evening. It is a beautiful village stretched out along the ridgeline. There was a project called Chilime Power Plant. The main inhabitants belong to Tamang community and they have adopted Tibetan lifestyle. Stay overnight at hotel.
You will drive back to Kathmandu from Syafrubesi which takes about 8 hour and transfer to the hotel.You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the evening cultural program and farewell dinner in a famous Nepali Restaurant, overnight at the hotel.

Today is free or last minute you have few hour special shopping for your friend and family to gift, relatives for you until your departure flight to your home country. Or any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you will be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your home country.
