Rhododendron forests bloom, adding color to the trails. While it's a busy season, the enjoyable weather and beautiful scenery make it a popular choice.
Autumn is another great time for the trek. Weather remains favorable, with temperatures around 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 59°F) in lower regions. Clear skies provide breathtaking mountain views. The season aligns with Hindu festivals, offering a chance to experience local culture. Like spring, autumn is busy, but the pleasant weather and cultural experiences make it a popular choice.
Winter offers a unique but challenging trekking experience. Temperatures are cold, ranging from 5°C to 10°C (41°F to 50°F) in lower areas. Snowfall is possible at higher elevations. Winter provides a quieter trekking experience, but preparation for harsh conditions, including cold temperatures and snow-covered paths, is crucial.
As the monsoon approaches, the pre-monsoon period has warmer temperatures, ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F) in lower areas. After the monsoon, the post-monsoon period offers stable weather. Daytime temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F) in lower areas. Clear skies provide stunning mountain views. The landscape remains green, creating a pleasant trekking environment. While trails may be wet, and there's a chance of leeches in some areas, overall trekking conditions improve during this period.
